Returns Policy

If you’re looking to return or exchange your order, we’re here to help! Request a return for an exchange, refund, or store credit, depending on the reason and type of return. Select below for more details on our refund policy.

Change of mind

If you change your mind on a purchase, or realise you ordered the wrong item, you can return it to us within 7 days for an exchange or store credit. Returned items must:

  • Remain in the original packaging it arrived in, and be suitable for resale in the same condition which it was purchased as.
  • Have any sticker seals or tags on packaging intact.
  • Have no visible signs of wear or use on the product or any packaging
  • Be unused. In the case of electronic items, the item must have never been turned on, and any pre-owned items must also remain sealed in its original packaging which it arrived in

Original shipping costs are non-refundable, and return shipping costs are not covered for change of mind purchases. Store credit is valid for 6 months.

Incorrectly supplied product

If you receive the wrong items or an incomplete order, get in touch straight away. Provided the item is unopened and in the same condition which it was purchased as, we will correct the order (where possible).

Item arrived faulty

If the item arrives with any damage or faults, get in touch with us straight away. We will arrange a return of the product for assessment. Once we have confirmed the fault or damage, it will be repaired, exchanged, or returned for store credit. 

Item no longer works as described or expected

We are committed to protecting your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act. Get in touch with us and we will be happy to arrange an assessment of the product condition. We will assist where possible and may repair, replace or refund faulty items.

Without limiting any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act, goods to be returned must be authorised by us before sending. Any returns are subject to assessment by Dodec. If an assessment result deems the return request to be in-eligible, the goods will be shipped back at buyers cost. We import the majority of our items, and as such, spare parts may be limited or not available.

How do I get a refund or exchange?

To initiate a return or exchange, please complete the following steps:

  1. Visit dodec.co.nz/contact and complete the form
  2. We will review your request and be in touch within 3 business days
  3. Once we give the go-ahead, send all items back to us by following the return instructions we will send you
